The short version
Party Bus In Houston is College Station's party bus and charter company. We run Aggie game days at Kyle Field, Northgate nights, Ring Day and commencement weekends, and Bryan winery afternoons. A football Saturday with the tailgate, the game and the exit usually needs seven hours or more. Quotes are all-inclusive, and trips that run more than about an hour's drive from our base include the extra drive time upfront.
There's a particular kind of dread that sets in around 6:15 on a home-game Saturday, somewhere between the final whistle and the thought of finding your car. More than 100,000 people are leaving Kyle Field at the same time you are. That's the moment a charter earns its money, and it's why most of the calls we get from here are about football.
The rest of the year the town keeps a quieter beat — Northgate on a Thursday, Ring Day and commencement at the end of a term, dinner up in Bryan. We do those too. Football first, though, since that's what you're probably here for.
What a game-day charter really looks like
Nobody books four hours for a home game and finishes the day happy. You want to be there early enough to tailgate properly, the game itself runs three and a half hours or more, and getting out of the stadium area takes what it takes. From a hotel or rental house in College Station or Bryan, the day tends to go like this.
| Time (for a 2:30 PM kickoff) | What happens |
|---|---|
| 10:00 AM | Pickup at the hotel or rental house |
| 10:30 AM | Drop at the designated area; group walks to the tailgate |
| 2:30 PM | Kickoff; bus parked in its assigned spot |
| 6:15 PM | Final whistle; group walks to the agreed meeting point |
| 7:00 PM | Bus moves out as traffic allows |
| 7:30 PM | Dinner stop or back to the hotel |
Count it up and that's about nine and a half hours. Game days are simply long bookings, and there's no trimming them down without giving something up. Across our Houston-region inquiry data, about 11% of inquiries where hours were requested were for seven to eight hours, and out-of-town games sit squarely in that group. A night kickoff pushes the whole day later without making it any shorter.
Where the bus can put you down
Texas A&M decides where charter vehicles may drop and stage on a game day, and that plan can shift depending on the opponent and the kickoff. The game-day information at 12thman.com covers your date, and we confirm the current large-vehicle rules before the weekend. Plan on a 10- to 20-minute walk between the drop point and the stadium, and settle your meeting spot before the game rather than in the fourth quarter — cell service near a full stadium is a coin flip.
The kickoff-time problem
Kickoffs are often announced only one or two weeks out, which feels impossible to plan around. It isn't: reserve the date with a flexible block, then pin the pickup time once the network makes its call. The bigger vehicles for marquee home games are gone months ahead. Our tailgate party page and the sports tailgate guide handle the food-and-drinks half of the day.
The 45-passenger bus carries a full reunion class or alumni club on game day.
The weekends that aren't about football
Game weekends really begin on Friday. Midnight Yell at Kyle Field the night before a home game pulls in students, families and former students alike, and if you're staying across town, the last thing you want is to move a car out of a hotel lot at midnight. A short Friday-night block covers it.
Ring Day brings whole families in several times a year, over at the Clayton W. Williams Jr. Alumni Center. Commencement at Reed Arena does the same across several days of ceremonies. For ten to fourteen relatives, a 14-passenger limousine makes the dinner afterward feel like part of the occasion instead of a logistics problem; when several families are going together, one shuttle or party bus carries everyone in a single trip. The graduation page gets into timing and photo stops.
Game day is a full-day booking once the tailgate and the exit are counted.Sporting events polls: what would you do?

Northgate, and what a bus is actually for there
Northgate sits right across University Drive from campus, and it's a walking strip — bars, restaurants and music venues shoulder to shoulder. A bus won't help you get from one door to the next. What it does is get your group there and get everyone home, which matters a lot if you're starting from an apartment along Wellborn Road or a rental house down in south College Station. Drop and pickup happen at the edge of the district, where a long vehicle can get out of traffic.
Plenty of nights want more than one district. A bar crawl or a birthday pairs Northgate with Century Square, or with downtown Bryan and its slower Main Street, ten or fifteen minutes north. Riders 21 and up are welcome to bring their own in cans or plastic. Bring anyone under 21 along and drinking is only on the table with a parent or legal guardian aboard, which for most student groups means the ride is simply dry — and honestly, that's usually the easier night anyway.
An afternoon that has nothing to do with a stadium
Messina Hof's winery in Bryan is the obvious anchor for a winery tour, and adding a second tasting room plus dinner fills a relaxed four-hour afternoon without anyone checking a watch. Visiting families often want the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum on the west side of campus in the same loop. Tasting rooms like a reservation for a group, and whatever you brought stays on the bus while you're inside.
How far is anything from here
These are ordinary-day times from around Northgate. A game day rewrites them near campus.
| Destination | Route | Typical time |
|---|---|---|
| Downtown Bryan | Texas Avenue or SH 6 | 10–15 min |
| Easterwood Airport | Wellborn Road / FM 60 | 10 min |
| Huntsville | SH 30 east | 55–65 min |
| Downtown Houston | SH 6 and US-290 | 1 hr 45 min–2 hr |
| Austin | SH 21 and US-290 | 1 hr 45 min–2 hr |
| Waco | SH 6 north | 1 hr 30 min–1 hr 45 min |
An away game or a Houston concert is a long-distance trip whichever way you're pointed, and the same is true of Houston groups driving up for a Saturday here. Our Huntsville page has the Bearkat games an hour east, the Austin page covers the run west, and the Texas city-to-city guide is where multi-city itineraries live, including when a coach beats a party bus.
Sizing up an Aggie group
There's no College Station-only data here, and we won't invent any. Regionally, about 5% of inquiries with a group size were for 31 to 40 passengers — a small slice, and a smaller sample than the mid-size bands. But game weekends are precisely when groups that size assemble: a reunion class, an alumni club, the families of one Corps outfit. There aren't many vehicles that big anywhere, which is the real argument for booking early rather than a sales line. The 40-passenger party bus and the 45-passenger keep the party inside; a 56-passenger charter coach rides steadier on a long haul with coolers and bags stowed underneath.
Dates are set long before kickoff times are, so here's a dated checklist that works backward from your weekend.

One price, everything inside it: the vehicle, the driver, fuel, local mileage, taxes, the driver's gratuity, unlimited stops, and ice and bottled water. Half holds the date, and the remainder is settled in the week or two before you ride.
Around College Station and Bryan you're on short runs. Austin, Waco and Huntsville are long-distance trips outright, and Houston becomes one whenever the route carries the vehicle past the hour — anything beyond about an hour's drive from our base is quoted with that extra road time built in rather than added later. A day stretching past roughly 12 hours, which a Houston group coming up for a night kickoff and driving home will do, calls for a second driver or lodging for the driver, and you'll see it in writing before you sign.
